This is a moderate-level hike, but it would still be a good idea to go for a 30-minute walk a couple times a week to prepare for it. Don't push yourself, just take it easy -- you'll be surprised how much of a difference it can make for both kids and adults! It has for me :-) Also, please don't bring brand-new shoes on this hike, they need to be broken-in to prevent blisters! Use the time between now and the camping trip to break them in.
Morrow Mountain State Park is about 2 hours away.
DirectionsNote that there are special requirements for any Scouting activity involving car-pooling, so we will follow up with details shortly. I think it involves things like designated drivers, proof of insurance, car identification, exactly who will be in each car, etc.
We want this to be fun for everyone, so please feel free to ask any questions you like. Please let us know if you need assistance securing a tent.
If you already plan to attend, please drop us a
quick e-mail so we can start getting a head-count. If you can, please indicate whether you will come Fri. 3/27 or Sat 3/28.
Thanks,
